Justin Hunter harvests only about 25.000 Fiji cultured pearls every year - making these pearls the rarest worldwide. Breeding Fiji cultured pearls is a very difficult and complex task, however, they are worth his while: their color spectrum ranges from deep green and bronze-brown to metallic blue and warm aubergine shades. This impressive color portfolio differentiates them from other pearl types.
Fiji cultured pearls grow in a subspecies of the Pinctada margaritifera oyster. Those harvested by J. Hunter Pearls are characterized by a very thick nacre coating and uniform surface structures. The average size of a Fiji cultured pearl is 10.5 millimeters. These bright beauties are available for Germany, Austria and Switzerland exclusively at Gellner and our jeweler partners.

Tahitian cultured pearls by Robert Wan can be characterized by their deep metallic shades. Their color spectrum displays an exciting range of different shades of grey with overtones of green, blue or red. This mystic color variety is pretty rare and that is why Tahitian cultured pearls by Robert Wan are among the world's most unique and rare pearls. They grow in a black-lipped oyster that lives only in French Polynesia. These pearls reach considerable sizes, some up to 18 mm, and have an extraordinarily strong nacre coating with colorful changing shades.

Atlas Pearls is an Australian company with farms for breeding pearls in five different regions of Indonesia. Each location has its special role: breeding starts in Bali and the technical center Lembata. Experienced marine biologists pick oysters that are suitable for breeding pearls and implant nuclei into them. The following breeding steps take place in Flores, Alor and Waigeo, where bays with nutrient-rich water and constant water temperature provide perfect growth conditions for brilliant Atlas cultured pearls.
